READ MOREAPPARATUS STUDIO is a New York design studio led by Artistic Director Gabriel Hendifar, that uses a narrative-driven approach to explore the relationship between lighting, furniture, and objects in immersive environments. The Studio’s creative output is categorized into Forewords, which define foundational design principles, and Acts, which employ those principles to explore historical reference, narrative and emotion.
The CIRCUIT SERIES belongs to ACT Iof Apparatus, and draws inspiration from the 1970s. ACT I explores the revolutionary spirit of a time defined by Yves Saint Laurent’s reimagination of old-world elegance, Halston’s vision of sleek modernity, and Andy Warhol’s stark approach to portraiture. The collection’s forms, materials, and oppositional influences reflect this cultural crossroads. Circuit imagines the future with repeating units envisioning technological integration and the syncopation of disco.
