READ MOREAPPARATUS STUDIO is a New York design studio led by Artistic Director Gabriel Hendifar, that uses a narrative-driven approach to explore the relationship between lighting, furniture, and objects in immersive environments. The Studio’s creative output is categorized into Forewords, which define foundational design principles, and Acts, which employ those principles to explore historical reference, narrative and emotion.
The LARIAT SERIES belongs to FOREWORD II, which explores the relationships of volume, connection and repetition. Inspired by structures found in the natural world, split, whole and elongated spheres act in accordance or defiance of gravity.
