KIMY GRINGOIRE (b. 1983, South Korea) is a Brussels-based designer whose practice moves between jewellery and large- scale sculpture. She approaches jewellery not as ornament but as spatial design at the scale of the body. She founded her eponymous studio in 2020 with the launch of Love Cables — a collection of tubular forms in which the heart operates as both motif and structural device. Across her work, the heart is treated less as a symbol than as formal anatomy: two curves, a groove, a point. In jewellery, this vocabulary coils around the finger, wrist, or neck. In her expanded series BigLoveCables, it is translated into seating, lighting, and wall-based sculpture. The shift in scale recalibrates the work’s charge — from intimate contact with the body to direct occupation of architectural space.
